Early last year, Kenyans were surprised after a 56-year-old lady moved to court to sue her step grandchild aged twenty four for snatching her husband. The family conflict had allegedly been developing for 3 years before spilling out. Grace Mwende accused Florence Nduku of insulting her through a sequence of text messages while allegedly beginning an intimate relationship with her husband, Daniel Mwongela who is 61.
Nduku is facing six counts of misusing a communication device. According to Mwende, the text messages were gross and ruined her relationship with different relations and she said “some elders have since approached me that I need to forgive her though it's difficult since I raised her like my very own child.” She further stated that, “The hurting part is how her father defended her and told me he's able to receive dowery from Mwongela. For now, i'll simply take a chance before embarking on future course of action and possibly find an alternative choice to get justice.”
