The center of attention of Pope Francis’ second “balcony talk was married couples in Poland on Thursday. He gave them three words that he has often said are key to a successful marriage life.
The pope said that occasionally he is asked how to make it so that the family institution goes forward and overcomes challenges. He added that that’s when, “I suggest to them to exercise three words.”
Speaking in the native Spanish language, he said that the three words “can aid couples to live married life since in married life there are challenges,” adding that marriage is something we have to take care for because it is life-long. These three words are :”permission, thank you, and forgiveness”
In his balcony speech, he focused on married couples, clarifying that whenever he sees a young couple getting married or having done so, he tells them they are the courageous ones, because it’s not easy to build a family.”
“It’s not easy to make a life-long commitment, it takes boldness, and I commend them because they have the courage,” he said, stating that the words 'permission, thank you, and forgive me' turn out to be useful every day of married life.
